Server log files (hosting)

When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically stores technical data (e.g. IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) in what are called server log files. This processing serves secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is not combined with other sources.

Pre-registration (email sign-up)

When you sign up using the form on the start page, we first send an email to the address entered, asking you to confirm the sign-up with a click. Only then is the address stored – without that confirmation nothing happens and the address is not kept. This step protects you from someone else entering your address, and it is our record of your consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR). After that we process your email address for a single purpose: to notify you once, as soon as the label launches. The only legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the box in the form. Without that box we cannot accept your address. There is no advertising beyond this, no profiling and no disclosure to third parties for their own purposes.

Delivery to our mailbox and the later launch message are handled by the service Resend (Resend, Inc.; processing takes place within the European Union).

How long – and how to unsubscribe

Your address stays stored until you withdraw your consent, and at the latest until six months after the label has launched. It is deleted after that. You can withdraw at any time and without giving reasons – using the unsubscribe link in every email we send you, or informally to the address given in the imprint. Withdrawal takes effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point is unaffected.

  • Email address

We also record which consents you gave in the form – this is the record of your consent.

When you submit the form, technically necessary details are sent along as well: which form it was and when the page was loaded. Both serve solely to fend off automated bulk messages and are not evaluated.

When you submit, your IP address is counted for a short time in our server memory in order to detect whether an unusual number of requests is coming from one source. It is not stored, not logged and discarded after a few minutes (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – protection against misuse).

If you have given an email address, we send you an automatic confirmation of receipt. It contains none of your details, only a note that the enquiry has arrived, together with our contact details.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When the page is accessed, Vercel processes technically necessary connection data (including IP address, time, address requested, browser type) in server logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Processing takes place on the basis of a data processing agreement with the provider; for the transfer to the USA we rely on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21)
  • Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(2))

To do so, please contact office@biggz.at. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
